Parent’s Morning Out
Weekday Preschool Ministry
Flat Creek Baptist Church’s full-time ministry staff and all volunteers who work with our children have been trained through the “Ministry Safe (c)” program. This badge indicates that Flat Creek has taken proactive steps to train staff members and volunteers to address the risk of child sexual abuse in ministry programming. In any child-serving context, training is the first step in any effort to protect children from sexual abuse.
Flat Creek Baptist Church Weekday Preschool has been serving the community for 25 years. After the construction of our children and preschool building in 1999, the church started the weekday preschool program in this wonderful facility. Our school offers two age-appropriate playgrounds, enhanced security, qualified and well-trained teachers, fun activities, small class sizes, and an overall great preschool experience.
Curriculum:
All classes use the Weekday Early Education (WEE) Learn curriculum. This program is a developmentally appropriate and comprehensive weekday curriculum for preschool-age children that is grounded in evidence-based educational practices. WEE Learn is designed to lay a foundation for biblical understanding as well as academics such as pre-reading, pre-writing, phonics, and number skills. It also emphasizes emotional and social growth, scope and sequence, music and movement, sensory activities, and arts and crafts. Our teachers use a variety of teaching methods such as centers, hands-on activities, and play to reinforce learning. Click here to see a sample 4-year-old Wee Learn unit.
We also offer curriculum enhancements such as chapel services, in-house field trips, STEM activities, Scholastic Readers and much more.

Parent’s Morning Out:
Parent’s Morning Out is a weekly morning of caregiving for parents of children ages 8 weeks – 3 years old. Children will have a fun morning of play and socialization. Older children will also get to play on our playgrounds, enjoy fun crafts, and hear a bible story. See our Parent’s Morning Out handbook for details.

Our weekday preschool is a certified Preschool of Excellence. This certification requires preschools to meet operating standards set by the Noonday Baptist Association in the areas of health, safety, curriculum, administration, facilities, and training. In addition to this school certification, our teachers are trained annually in the areas of curriculum, CPR/First Aid, mandated reporting, and participate in ongoing continuing education.
